Criteria for Non-Profit Organizations to Participate in the CCC (2009 Campaign)

The City of Baltimore requires interested non-profit organizations to complete an application and provide supporting documentation that includes the following:

  • 501 (c)(3) designation letter from the IRS
  • Maryland Secretary of State's current registration letter
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Current operating budget
  • Current IRS Tax Form 990
  • Names and mailing address of all Board of Directors
  • Evidence that services are provided within the Baltimore metropolitan area

Non-profit organizations may be located outside of the Baltimore metropolitan area so long as they can demonstrate that their services are provided within this geographical area. All must demonstrate and document that their charitable functions that have been carried on for a period of at least one year prior to the campaign's commencement. Additionally, they can not have been placed in voluntary or involuntary bankruptcy or been subjected to any type of receivership proceedings.
